Vegan “Fry-Up” from InSpiral Lounge, Camden.
On this plate of wonder we have toasted rye bread with sunflower spread, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomato, a hash brown (hidden under the tomato), tofu scramble, homemade baked beans, homemade vegan sausage and some rocket.
This was absolutely wonderful. The sausage tasted like a German sausage, and it was slightly unnerving just how much it tasted like meat - it had the skin and everything! It was incredibly delicious nonetheless. I particularly loved the hash brown, and I would’ve liked to have washed it all down with one of their many juices, but sadly their juicer wasn’t working. My friend Viv had a smoothie instead - the Mango Lassi - which was made with mango, almond milk, chia seeds and plenty of other ~super healthy ingredients. I stole a secret sip of her smoothie when she’d popped to the toilet - it was so creamy and sweet. If I had not have been so full, I would’ve ordered one myself!
