Just a little treat.
I was talking to my friend Rosie yesterday about food, and as it turns out she avoids lactose and gluten and eats very similarly to me, which is pretty awesome because now I have someone to swoon over food with!
She recommended a “Raw Chocolate Pie” by a company called Living Food St. Ives, and their products look amazing. So amazing in fact that I ordered 3 of their bars, and I can’t wait for them to come! :D
The bars are organic, fair trade, sugar free, dairy free, gluten free and suitable for diabetics. They have me hooked already.
I ordered the original Raw Chocolate Naked Pie:

The ingredients are - raw cacao, agave nectar, coconut butter, lucuma, carob flour and ground almonds. So natural, yum! (Lucuma is a fruit, btw. It has particularly dry flesh which has a flavour of maple and sweet potato. It has high levels of carotene, vitamin B3, and other B vitamins.)
I also bought the Raw Chocolate Nut Pie:

Ingredients - raw cacao, agave nectar, coconut butter, lucuma, carob flour, macadamia, pecan and Brazil nuts, ground almonds.
And last but not least, the Raw Chocolate Ginger and Orange Zest Pie:

Ingredients - raw cacao, agave nectar, coconut butter, lucuma, carob flour, ground almonds, ginger and orange zest.
The website states that they ship worldwide, so this may be a British product but it’s not only for us Brits! Each “pie” is £2, which may seem quite expensive, but if you were to buy a Starbucks brownie you’d pay the same for something so much worse for you and the environment. Shipping is only a £1, but if your order is over £5, then shipping is free!
They have many other flavours, including peppermint and Himalayan salt which I’ll be sure to try. Shipping typically takes 5-8 days, so I’ll be reviewing them then!
