Healthy Brownie Bites. (Vegan and Raw!)

These are the miracle food. As soon as my dad got in I told him they were made with dates and walnuts, and he backed away in disgust. Little does he know these taste like raw brownie batter…
And he’ll never know. Mwa ha ha.
- 1 1/3 cup pitted dates;
- 1 cup walnuts (I used a few pecans too);
- 3-4 tbsp cocoa powder;
- 1 tsp vanilla.
1. In a food processor, using the metal blade attachment (or something that can chop nuts) blitz everything together for a minute or so until a crumbly mix has formed, like so: -

It smells so good. Chocolatey goodness, all together now - mmm.
2. Using your hands, form small balls by squishing the mixture together and rolling around in your palms. I made 18, I believe.
3. Eat away with a big grin because you’re satisfying that chocolate craving without filling your body with crap.
I’ll admit - I was dubious. I’ve had Nakd bars before, and I really do like them, but you can taste the dates and that can deter a lot of people. You can’t taste them at all here! I asked my mum what she thought was in these, and she said walnuts, chocolate, maybe some oats and some syrup?
Never would have guessed dates. Tried and tested and approved by my mother. What more encouragement do you need to get up and go make ‘em?
